The past two years at least, I’ve set the goal of getting my weight down below 200. I’ve failed those past two years, thus why this is being posted again (I think I posted it last year but it may have been purged). 2019 will be the year that this changes and I’m posting this here to help myself be accountable. If by any chance there are readers of this out there perhaps you’ll help keep me accountable.

I did get a jump start on things this morning and got a good workout in. It’s been to long since I’ve done a workout. With traveling and the holidays I’m sure when I weigh in tomorrow I’ll be shocked with where I’m at. On the plus side it will also make the first month or so easy to lose some inches and weight.

But wait…why is this year going to be different you might be asking yourself. Well I hope that I’ve got a much better idea of what I need to do. Most of it is going to be around eating and the other part is going to be around my workouts. I will still run, I have a few goals for 2019 regarding that, but I’m also going to include some HIIT and kettlebells. If I can figure out a good routine for all of them I don’t think I’ll have any problem reaching my goal.

Also mentally I know what my triggers are and that probably more than the physical stuff will be the hardest part. It will be a constant battle but I’m more confident than ever that I can get there.

So a few goals for 2019!

  • Weigh less than 200 lbs by the end of the year
  • Get waist measurement down by at least a couple of inches and hopefully get to the golden ratio of height to waist (waist half of your height)
  • Complete at least 2 trail races and possibly a half marathon (this one I’m really debating on!). There will also probably be a 5K or two thrown in for good measure…and hopefully some new PR’s!
  • Be consistent – don’t be stupid about it (ie: working out while sick)

I’m sure there’s a ton of other things that I could put in for my goals but I want to keep the list rather short as I can get lost in having to many targets.

What are your goals for 2019?
