So it’s been a week since I last posted about fatherhood and pursuing some sort of fitness. Things are going well at this point. Weight is down to 234.4 which is great. I think like everyone I’d like to see it lower, but it’s a journey not a sprint.
I did get in three rather solid workouts this week. Two of them were in the gym where I did some pushups and chin-ups and ran on the treadmill. This morning I went and ran outside for the first time this year. It was pretty good. Ran my 1.5 miles in less time than I had been running them on the treadmill, which really doesn’t surprise me. Seems to be the way things go.
I also went and got a armband for my phone so I can have some music and track my runs. Lazy I suppose, but I did it anyways. And while at the running store I saw a entry form for a 5K at the end of this month. It’s a bit sooner than what I had wanted but I’m really giving it some consideration to get a baseline of some sort.
We’ll see what this next week brings for fitness. Going to try and run 1.75 miles each of the three days that I workout.
