So it’s the first of the year and like many people I like to start out the year with goals or resolutions. However over the last year I’ve noticed something I’m not to terribly proud of and have made this one thing my primary goal for this year.
A blessing or a curse, I’m not sure, but I have a ton of ideas crop up in my head. I’m talking ideas of business’s, things I’d like to write about (but when it comes to putting them down on a blog they flee like frightened mice) or various other things. And if at the time this idea comes to me, I have the energy to start it, I usually do. However my short comings come into play here. Despite the best of intentions at the start I usually don’t finish it. Right now I have four projects that are in some state other than finished. So my resolution for the year, one of them at least, is to finish these 4 projects and any others that I might start. While it may not allow me to implement as many of my ideas, it will allow me to know if they will be a success or a failure rather than just sitting there in an in between state. It will be hard, knowing my nature, but it’s also something that needs to be done.
I’m sure there are others that I have not yet discovered, or that others might see in me, but for now this is the one that I’m focussed on improving upon.
Other goals I have for this year (I know this is supposed to be a post about shortcomings!) are as follows.
- Lose weight – I have about 25 to 35 lbs that I’d like to lose (and I’m sure a Dr. would tell me I need to lose!). And I intend on doing it without a gym membership. A home gym should suffice I believe!
- Write more – That’s where this blog comes in. As I said in my previous post I’ve always wanted to be a writer and this is where I’ll be starting that.
