Maybe it was the sound of the furnace blowing hot air into our room. Maybe it was my body’s way of telling me I needed to get my butt out of bed and work out or else I was going to turn into some human form of Jabba The Hut. I’m not sure, but I was up before the alarm on my phone went off and as long as I can remember that’s never happened.
Workout pants, workout shirt, socks and shoes found their way on. I grabbed a cup of water on my way downstairs and heard the cat scratching at the door as I went into the family room where the kettlebells and treadmill awaited me.
40 minutes later, sweat pouring down me, I was done. It felt great and I was glad I had listened to that voice or whatever it was the had nudged me up just 5 minutes earlier than the alarm. A little runners high on the treadmill and a tablet with Spotify that kept cutting out. Couldn’t ask for anything else could you?
2014 up till this point has mostly been a case of “what are you going to write about”. Well here’s the first post this year. Happy 2014 everyone!
